Life in Tsinghua

The TULS students enthusiastically hold all kinds of academic activities, ranging from the Ming Li Forum, to the Lunch Salons lectures, papers contest, and to the publication of Tsinghua Law Field, an academic periodical. And they have also made outstanding achievements in the moot court competition and debate contest, both domestic and international. The students are leading dynamic and colorful life. Not only have they won a lot of prizes in the Tsinghua University's various contests, but they have done a good job in various national competitions.

The TULS students are also very active in practice-oriented, especially the legal ones. They often give lectures to governmental officials and middle school and primary school students, offer free legal advice to the common people, provides free legal service for the poor, and give wonderful online legal service.

Furthermore, they have created their own newspaper, The Law Field, to help promote the image of the TULS

Student Associations

International students are encouraged to participate in various extracurricular activities and join the student associations of the University. International students office also organizes extracurricular activities for international students, including welcome party for new students, New Year's party, graduation party, tourist visits to Chinese cultural and historical destinations, sports competitions, etc. Tsinghua University has approximately 200 student associations covering five domains: science and technology, physical training, humanities, arts and public welfare. To name a few: the Students' Performing Arts Club, Zijing Volunteer Service, Students' Association of Science & Technology, Photography Association, Foreign Languages Association, Association of Student International Communication (ASIC), etc.

Sports Teams

With an excellent sports tradition, Tsinghua University has been insisting on the combination of sports and cultural education, and organizing high-level sports training for students. Currently, Tsinghua owns the largest and most complete university student sports teams in China which has 38 teams for 26 different sports games.

Dining

International students can apply for a Dining Card at the Food Service Center (Business hours: 13:30-16:30 Tuesday) located in No.15 Building with their Admission Notice/Student ID Cards or certificates issued by International Students Office. Students may have meals in any students' dining hall with this card. Students are expected to maintain the order of the dining halls, help to keep the places clean and tidy, take care of the facilities and equipment, and show respect to the working staffs.
